Guest Instructor, Bob Andersen has been in the performance coaching field for nearly 20 years and brings with him a vast array of knowledge and experience. He has expertise in performance training and functional movement as well as planning and implementing performance/strength and conditioning programs for all levels from aspiring youth to elite Olympic and professional athletes. He was Head Performance/Strength Coach at Nebraska Wesleyan University, Director of Performance Victory Human Performance, Director of the Sports Medicine Institute of Nebraska and as performance consultant for numerous Universities, teams, clubs and academies.
Bob is now a Lead Instructor Trainer for MERRITHEW™, specializing in CORE™ Athletic Conditioning & Performance Training™, regularly teaching courses and workshops. He has earned a reputation as a dynamic presenter, expert instructor, and engaging mentor. He graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University with bachelor's degrees in Exercise Science as well as Psychology then received his doctorate from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Lead Instructor Trainer, Ineke Rush Madsen began her training in Pilates at the age of 12 in New York City with Carola Trier, a colleague and student of Joseph Pilates, whom she trained with extensively. She simultaneously trained at the School of the Dance Theatre of Harlem where the syllabus was influenced by Kathy Grant. After a 10 year career as a professional ballet and modern dancer (Dance Theatre of Harlem, Cleveland San Jose Ballet, Ballethnic Dance Company, Cleveland Contemporary Dance Theatre), Ineke pursued her Pilates Certification with STOTT PILATES®. She is fully certified to work with all levels as well as those with post rehab injuries and other special conditions. She has been an Instructor Trainer since 2004, and was designated Lead Instructor Trainer in 2016. She has taught the STOTT PILATES certification courses and workshops all over the Bay Area, Northern California, and in Reno, Nevada.
Ineke is certified by the American Council on Exercise as a Personal Trainer and is licensed by the State Medical Board of Ohio in Massage Therapy. She holds a certificate to teach Total Barre and is a Total Barre Instructor Trainer for Merrithew, Inc. She is currently working toward her 200 hour RYT (Yoga) certification.
In 2006 Ineke opened Mindful Movement Collective in Newark, California, a movement and wellness center which became a STOTT PILATES Licensed Training Center in 2008. She opened a second location in Pleasant Hill, California, in 2017. She teaches at both locations and is also on faculty at Ohlone College in Fremont and Newark, California, in both the Kinesiology and Theatre and Dance Departments.
Annie Durning promotes fitness and wellness as a Pilates Instructor, Personal Trainer and Registered Dietitian. She is a practitioner of the contemporary STOTT PILATES method and is certified in Comprehensive Mat/Apparatus, Injuries and Special Populations and Total Barre. In addition, she is an Instructor Trainer for the STOTT PILATES Education Program at Mindful Movement Collective in Newark. Annie is ACE certified in Personal Training and a Registered Dietitian with the American Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AAND). She holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Biology and Nutrition.
After a low back injury from distance running and with the birth of her third child, Annie was introduced to Pilates and experienced the rehabilitative benefits in both body and mind. In 2002, she started her certification training. She has worked with clients in a variety of settings including pure studio, fitness, corporate and clinical. With a strong emphasis on technique and form, making pilates accessible to all ages and fitness levels is the cornerstone of her programming for group classes and individuals.
Annie’s own mindfulness practice includes weekly private sessions. In addition, she spends quality time with friends and her three amazing children. As well she likes to explore nature with her two canine companions Zoe and Boo.
Gail Lewis became a group exercise instructor and ACE certified personal trainer in 1995 before being introduced to Pilates. All the pieces came together when she received her Full Level Two Certification as a STOTT PILATES® Instructor in 2004. Her body moved as a whole. It was empowering to apply the principles and move with sense of well being. She became a Gold Certified Instructor by the Pilates Method Alliance in 2005. In 2008, Gail achieved STOTT PILATES® Instructor Trainer status and currently teaches Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels courses. She is also a ZEN*GA™, Total Barre™ and CORE™ Instructor Trainer for Merrithew™. Gail complemented her pilates training with yoga teacher training courses with David Swenson, Kofi Busia and Doug Swenson. Gail is a Legal Assistant with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Santa Clara University.
Injuries and Special Populations Instructor Trainer, Kristi Quinn received her Master of Arts degree in Dance at American University in Washington, D.C. in 1997, with core competencies in teaching, kinesiology, choreography, and movement analysis. She has danced professionally throughout the United States and across Europe before moving to Seattle in 1998. Upon her arrival to the West Coast, Kristi began teaching Pilates at Pacific Northwest Ballet and Velocity Dance Studio. It was during this time that she met Melissa Kerber. Together, they formed Bodycenter Studios in 1999. Kristi has three great kids which keeps her happy and extremely busy.
Kristi is a Lead Merrithew® Instructor Trainer, specializing in STOTT PILATES®, Total Barre™, CORE™ Athletic Conditioning and Performance Training and ZEN*GA™. Kristi holds specialty designations in the following areas: Pre and Post-Natal Pilates, Athletic Conditioning, Active for Life, Post-Rehab, Dance Conditioning, Group Matwork, and Group Equipment.
