Ineke Rush Madsen began her training in Pilates at the age of 12 in New York City with Carola Trier, a colleague and student of Joseph Pilates, whom she trained with extensively.  She simultaneously trained at the School of the Dance Theatre of Harlem where the syllabus was influenced by Kathy Grant.

After a 10 year career as a professional ballet and modern dancer (Dance Theatre
of Harlem, Cleveland San Jose Ballet, Ballethnic Dance Company, Cleveland Contemporary Dance Theatre),  Ineke pursued her Pilates Certification with STOTT PILATES®.  She is fully certified to work with all levels as well as those with post rehab injuries and other special conditions.  She has been an Instructor Trainer since 2004, and was designated Lead Instructor Trainer in 2016.  She has taught the STOTT PILATES certification courses and workshops all over the Bay Area, Northern California, and in Reno, Nevada. 

Ineke is certified by the American Council on Exercise as a Personal Trainer and is licensed by the State Medical Board of Ohio in Massage Therapy.  She holds a certificate to teach Total Barre and is a Total Barre Instructor Trainer for Merrithew, Inc.  She is currently working toward her 200 hour RYT (Yoga) certification.

In 2006 Ineke opened Mindful Movement Collective in Newark, California, a movement and wellness center which became a STOTT PILATES Licensed Training Center in 2008.  She opened a second  location in Pleasant Hill, California, in 2017.  She teaches at both locations and is also on faculty at Ohlone College in Fremont and Newark, California, in both the Kinesiology and Theatre and Dance Departments.

Private Sessions and Semi-Private (Duet) Sessions

A Private Session is a one on one session with the instructor and client.  These sessions allow for the instructor to program directly to  the individual needs and preferences of the client.
Single Session $77.50  /  4 Pack $290 /  8 Pack $540 / 

A Duet Session is one where one instructor works with 2 clients. Duet Sessions are composed of 2 people who want to practice Pilates together ( spouses, friends...).   A Duet Session may involve both clients having the same program or it may be constructed so that the clients are directed and supervised by the instructor to follow individualized programs based on each participant's unique needs.  Duets are a great option for people who benefit most from Private Sessions, but enjoy the lower price and/or company a shared session offers.
